Equine veterinary hospital Comments Off on Standing tieback surgery for ‘roarers’
We understand that the current COVID-19 crisis is impacting everyone in some way, we want to reassure our clients and referring Vets that we are committed to providing the highest standard of care and support to all animals.
The current situation has required us to split into teams to safeguard the health of our staff and clients which will see some reduction in availability for some services.
Please be assured that our hospital emergency services will remain operating 24/7 but due to staff limitations we will not be able to attend farms after hours for emergencies unless it is for the ongoing care of specific patients. For emergencies, clients may bring their animals into the hospital at any time. The Hospital and ambulatory services will continue to run for essential and emergency services from Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm. Emergencies will be given priority followed by urgent or necessary consultations, if you are unsure whether your horse classifies as an urgent case, please call the clinic on (02) 4655 0777 to discuss this with our duty veterinarians. All cases will be triaged and prioritised with extra biosecurity measures in place whether you are visiting the hospital or if we are attending your property. We will continue to monitor the situation and review and update operations in line with evolving advice. #WeAreInThisTogether
IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you are planning to attend the hospital or book an on-farm call, for the safety of all our staff and clients, we request that you advise us if you or your family have had any recent illness prior to attending the hospital or the on-farm appointment. If this is the case for you or your family, we request that you do not attend the consultation and arrange for an alternative person without any such signs to be present. If this cannot be arranged, we may not be able to attend the call or provide services.
